About Us
The Novas Somerset Floating Support Service provides low intensity housing related floating support for single adults aged 16 to 65 who may be homeless, or living in temporary or permanent accommodation and have no other form of housing related floating support available.
The service works with single men and women who need support to sustain their accommodation, to develop the skills, networks and confidence to live independently and to reduce accommodation breakdown and homelessness. The service is funded by Supporting People.
Customers are offered support for up to two years. Across the county of Somerset, the service works with up to 550 customers, and has offices and teams based in Hambridge and Minehead, with community bases across the region.
The aim of the Somerset floating support service is to provide housing related support to customers to improve the sustainment of current and future accommodations and to increase opportunities.
